Michael Nelson Corona, 37, of Millville, was crossing the 7800 block of West Buckshutem Road at 9:07 p.m. on March 31 when he was hit by a Hyundai Tucson, Millville police said.
Corona was taken to Vineland Inspira Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
Born and raised in Port Norris, Corona found his passion in diesel and auto mechanics at the young age of 10, according to his obituary, which said: "Mike loves to spend his time twisting wrenches and working on anything that had a motor."
He was a 2003 graduate of Millville Senior High School.
Graveside services were on Friday, April 7. Plans were in motion for a Celebration of Life this week, the obituary said.
